For our teen and young adult performers, the AWOHP Summer Experience takes on the iconic, hilarious, and high-energy musical Mean Girls — a show packed with comedy, pop-infused vocals, and unforgettable characters. At its core, Mean Girls is a story about belonging, identity, and finding the courage to stand up for what’s right — themes our performers bring to life with nuance and depth.

Actors 16 & up will train in a collaborative and fast-paced rehearsal process led by our professional teaching artists. From contemporary vocals to comedic timing and physical storytelling, this experience focuses on elevating performance technique while building confidence, leadership, and ensemble trust.

The session culminates in a fully-produced performance for friends, family, and the community. This is an ideal project for performers ready to challenge themselves, embrace bold choices, and bring a beloved cult-classic to the stage.
